The Fiji Pearl Oyster: a story of resilience from Savusavu. In Savusavu Bay, Fiji, a first-of-its-kind oyster has been 25 years in the making, shaped by the communities who call these waters home, the Fiji Pearl Oyster. This film is told through the voice of Vaciseva Masiyalewa, a senior pearl farmer, who shares her honest and experienced view of how oysters are grown, cared for, and harvested. The Fiji Pearl Oyster project brings villages together to grow a native edible oyster, supporting both local livelihoods and the sustainability of Fiji's ocean.
